Setup guide

Get set up with Greenhouse

A one-time setup of about ten minutes. After that every new job takes seconds, and nothing in your Greenhouse workflow changes.

  1. 01

    Install the extension

Add ApplyIntended to your browser. It lives in the side panel next to whatever you’re already working in — there’s nothing to open in a separate tab.

    Add to Chrome — Free

  2. 02

Create a tracking link in Greenhouse

In Greenhouse, create one tracking link. This produces a gh_src token that we attach only to the visitors we mark as human, so those applicants arrive under a Likely-Human source you can filter on. Create it once — the same token works for every job, forever.

Name it something you will recognise in reports, e.g. “ApplyIntended — Likely-Human”.

  3. 03

    Paste the token into ApplyIntended

Open the side panel, go to Integrations, choose Greenhouse and paste the token. We validate it against Greenhouse and show you exactly which source it resolves to, so a wrong paste can’t fail silently later.

  4. 04

Add a “Where did you find our job post?” question

Because the verdict now travels in the source field, this question is what preserves your channel attribution — LinkedIn, Indeed, referral, and so on. Add it to all of your job posts at once from the All Jobs page rather than one at a time.

Use the bulk workflow: All Jobs → select your jobs → Job Posts → Custom Questions.

  5. 05

Save a template job so future roles inherit it

Create a template job that already contains the question. Every new role copied from it is set up automatically, so you never have to remember this step again.

  6. 06

Connect your Harvest API key (optional)

Only needed if you want ApplyIntended to report on results — which channels sent real people, and how much automated volume you avoided. Read-only. Tagging works without it.

  7. 07

Protect a job and share it

Paste a Greenhouse job post URL into the side panel to get a protected link, then use that link everywhere you post the role. We mark the applicants we read as human, and they arrive in Greenhouse under your Likely-Human source, ready to filter.

Not Likely-Human never means bot — it just means we could not confirm, including people who found the role another way.

What you will see in Greenhouse

The applicants we mark carry your Likely-Human source. Filter for it to choose what to review first. Nobody is ever blocked, rejected, or removed from your pipeline.
